Digital Payments (Payments Council of India)

Payments Council of India (PCI) is a body representing over 95% of the non-Bank companies in the Payments ecosystem and was formed under the aegis of IAMAI to effectively cater to the needs of the digital payments industry. The objective of PCI is to identify and build opportunities and address and help resolve industry-level issues and barriers which require industry-level discussion and action, and proactively encourage the growth of non-banking payment systems for ushering in a " less-cash society " in India. While Public policy and Regulatory affairs are the primary focus areas of PCI, the council also advocates the preparation of several reports & whitepapers as well as hosts roundtables & residential immersion programs for the development of the payments industry as a whole. The council works with all its members to promote payments industry growth and scale the vision of the payments ecosystem in India.
